Our Showroom is well stocked with over 70 fireplaces, designs and stoves as well as a large TV screen showing manufacturers videos and previous installations, as well as a wide range of fireside accessories.

Home Heat Surveys

Home Heat are passionate about their business and are always on hand to help and guide you to the best fireplace, stove and or flue for your home. Once you have decided on a style of fire and surround contact us to arrange your home survey but do not order the products until you have been told that they are suitable for the size and type of flue (chimney) in your home as we want you to be 100% happy with the service that we offer and the Fireplace installation.

There are various types of brick that are used in the UK, but there are three types of the flue that are commonly used: Brick built chimney as found in older properties identified by either an interior or exterior chimney breast with the chimney stack. Precast, where you have no chimney but a ridge terminal along the apex of your roof and Prefabricated, where you will have a metal flue pipe and terminal coming through your roof. The differences between these flues will determine the type of fire we can install in your home or commercial business premises. Please feel free to call us at any stage and ask us any questions.

Installation of your Fireplace

Home Heat will always call you the day before your installation is due to be carried out, we will contact you to check that you have all the products on-site and confirm our arrival times. The installation will normally be completed in one day although sometimes a second day will be required. You will be advised of this when your survey is carried out. You will also have been advised of any furniture you are required to move to roll your carpet back away from the fireplace.

Our installers will dust sheet your room and passages to protect your furnishings. Removing an old fireplace can be dusty but we will endeavour to keep any dust and disturbance to a minimum. On completion of your installation, you will be issued with any relevant gas safety certificates as well as documentation required by the building regulations authority and of course your receipt, workmanship warranty and client survey form. Finally, our installer will run you through the operation of your new fire and make sure that you are totally satisfied with your fireplace before cleaning the room.

Home Heat Warranty

All our installation work carries a 12-month warranty and we are bound to adhere to Building Regulations and HETAS or Gas Safe regulations. After your purchase or installation, we are here to advise and support on the running and operation of appliances. Stovax and Gazco Fireplaces and Stoves come with a 5 year warranty if purchased and installed by Home Heat (Clayhill) Ltd and Chilli Penguin Stoves come with a 7 year warranty if purchased and installed through Home Heat (Clayhill).
